2023 Weight Loss Challenge: Comp 1

Next weigh-in is on Wednesday

Put your money where your mouth is...well since this is a weight loss challenge, don't do that, but show your committment to getting healthy in 2023 by ponying up $100 to win by losing!

Rules

The rules of this competition are different from the previous ones, so please read carefully.

Instead of a lump prize distribution at the end, the competition will be divided up into weekly sprints with a proportional amount of the total prize money winnable every week. The money will be granted to whomever loses the most weight that week. In the case of ties, the money will be divided equally; however, any pennies leftover after rounding will be kept by the host to cover the competition running costs. Earnings will be tracked until the end of the competition and will be paid out at its conclusion.

As an example of how prize money will be earned, let's assume that 10 people have joined the competition and it goes for 10 weeks, making the weekly prize $100. At the end of week 1, Bob is the biggest loser, having lost 3lbs, and earns the week's prize of $100. At the end of week 2, Bob and Susan, both lost 2.8lbs, so they both earn $50 ($100 divided by 2).

The competition begins February 15th and goes for 10 weeks, ending on April 26th. The non-refundable $100 entry fee is due by February 21st. Weigh-ins will need to be submitted via the form on the website every Wednesday by 11pm central time. Your initial weigh-in on the 15th will also be your sign-up for the competition.

Good luck everyone and let's have fun shedding those holiday pounds!
